Cozy Autumn
Hello Fall
Preparing for Autumn/ Welcoming a Cozy Fall
Summer has officially ended on September 21st in the US.
As temperature dips, the vibrant greens of summer give way to gorgeous golds, warm oranges, glowing reds and glimmering yellows.
The crisp air, falling leaves and the sound of wind in the trees all points to fall.
Ana: For me, it’s the best and coziest season, it’s the best.
This summer has been amazing.
We were able to visit Whistler and Montana and see loved ones and meet new friends.
We were able to see 5 State Capitols and got our passport book stamped.
Now that our schedule isn’t so packed with road trips and barbecues, we got the time in our hands to do some reading. It’s time to cozy up with some good books to read.
Autumn is the perfect season for reading.
It is 3 months of uninterrupted time.
Ana: I used to work at the school district so I like to recommend classic books our school children will love and adults as well.
Anne of Green Gables: a must read for autumn. The 11 year old orphan sees the world as beautiful and full of possibilities. Her description of the scenery at Green Gables captures the warmth and charm of fall.
The Black Beauty: has a touching and heart felt story told through the eyes of the horse itself. It’s about kindness, hard times, difficult working conditions and is probably going to move you to tears.
To Kill a Mockingbird: one of the best books and we’re glad our 8th graders are reading this. It’s about taking a stand to fight for racism.
Charlotte’s Webb: a touching story about friendship enduring the seasons.
Russell: I love Josh Grisham. These are my recommendations:
The Associate
The Testament
The Judge’s List
If you like suspense, thriller and good revenge, then these books are for you.
Aside from spring, Autumn is also a good time to deep clean our home.
Paying more attention on dust on the lampshade and decors. Steaming our curtains so we don't have to wash it often.
Russell: I put weed killer on the lawn and make sure to clear out the gutters. (We didn't show it in the video.)
We also like to prepare food for autumn.
It’s also the best time to binge watch the Gilmore Girls.
How about you? What are your favorite books to read and shows to watch during fall? 🍂
